Professional Information at a Glance
Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, I graduated from Thomas
Jefferson High School, Jefferson Hills, PA, in June of 1998. After
high school, I enrolled at Duquesne University, also in Pittsburgh.
At Duquesne, I studied biology and did my undergraduate thesis work
under the advisement of Dr. David Lampe. In May of 2002, I graduated
summa cum laude from Duquesne with a Bachelor's of Science in
Biology and double minored in both Biochemistry and Philosophy.
In September 2002, I started study at Harvard University Medical
School, where I am currently a doctoral student in the Division
of Medical Sciences, enrolled in the Ph.D. Program in the Biological
and Biomedical Sciences, where I work in the laboratory of Dr. Steven Gygi studying quantitative proteomics.
In addition to my professional education, I am also a founding
partner of Bakalarski & Hollinger Media Services, a design and
consulting firm which specializes in web application development
and backend systems integration. In addition, I frequently do contractual
consulting, design, and programming work freelance. Furthermore,
I occasionally do both creative and technical consulting work for
television and video productions.
